Inspired by Hito Steyerl's "In Defense of Poor Image," temporal traces of love embraces the decay of personal items of significance. Similar to how tangible items will degrade over time (e.g. fur will matte, bracelets will fray, etc), this digital archive degrades the image of the items highlighted the more a user interacts with them. This project also shares the intimate story that it shares with it's owner -- allowing viewers of the project to form an understanding of it's importance. A crusty stuffed animal can become a symbol of resistance with the power of storytelling.
